Guest guest
Dear Devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Vaisnava Training and Education (VTE) is now in it sixth year of operation, providing devotees with training in "aims-driven" and "principle-based" education. Devotees who have taken VTE courses typically experience tremendous increases in their capacity to preach, conduct seminars, and communicate effectively. Comments from devotees who have taken VTE courses: "It was a real eye-opener. I use what I learned in every seminar I conduct. It is a very useful course." HH Jayapataka Swami "I'm always thinking how I can improve my teaching by using the inspiring methods I learned, and when I use them both my students and I are enlivened. The course was a milestone in my teaching career." Sri Kari dd "If you want some inspiration to get involved in education then somehow or other take one of the VTE courses." Atitaguna dd So what is education all about? On May 11, 1976, in a lecture, Srila Prabhupada said, "If we are not changing our character, then what is the use of advancement of knowledge, education?" ISKCON is in a period of rapid change. To go in a positive direction, devotees must have strong character. Education helps define and bring out good character in devotees, so any positive change in ISKCON must be based on education. Education should equip devotees to deal with the hard questions they must face in management, preaching, and their personal and social life. VTE and MIHE invite you to help create an educational revolution that will renew and strengthen Srila Prabhupada's movement. Here are the VTE courses offered during the upcoming semester: "Vaisnava Training and Education Rasamandala Dasa Teacher Training Course One" Jan 29th - Feb 4th 6 hours/day for 6 days "Vaisnava Training and Education Rasamandala Dasa Teacher Training Course Two" Feb 21st – Mar 1st 3 hours/day for 6 days 6 hours/day for 3 days "Vaisnava Training and Education Rasamandala Dasa Bhakti-sastri Teacher Training Course" Mar 3rd - 6th 6 hours/day for 4 days If you are interested in finding out more about these courses, please read the next message entitled "VTE Details" or go to the MIHE Website at http://www.mayapur.org/mihe and explore our whole range of course offerings.
