This year, for the first time in the history of ISKCON Mayapur, the festival fee has been abolished! We realize that many devotees do not feel comfortable to have to pay to participate in the festival. However, as funds are needed to conduct the festival, we request devotees to donate generously, with a big and open heart, to help make this festival a success! Mar 10 Sri Jagannatha Misra's Feast SPECIAL FESTIVITIES · Boat festival Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava will be taken for ride on Their boat in the pond at Srila Prabhupada's Samadhi Memorial. The entire Samadhi and pond will be decorated, many kirtan parties will chant and dance for the pleasure of Their Lordships. · Jhulan Yatra Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava will perform Their swing pastime every afternoon in a special Jhulan Mandap. · Elephant procession After evening arati, Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Madhava will ride on Gulab kali (Their Elephant), followed by a procession around the temple campus, Samadhi and park. · 72 hours (24 prahara) Hari-nama sankirtana A nama-yajna, continuous Harinama Sankirtana for three days will be performed by local harinama parties in front of Srila Prabhupada's bhajana kutira. Devotees from different temples or Yatras will also be invited to join in this Harinama Sankirtana. · Special Fire sacrifice A Vishwa-shanti Maha-yagna - great fire sacrifice for universal peace will be conducted in front of the main temple. Devotees can partake in the Yajna as a sponsor (yajaman). · Ratha Yatra Their Lordships Sri Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra will be taken on a procession on three Chariots around Srila Prabhupada's Samadhi Memorial and park. · Go puja A special go-puja (worship of Mother Cow) will be performed at the Mayapur Goshala similar to the one performed on Gopashtami. Devotees can take part by cleaning the goshala, bathing Sri Sri Radha Madhava's cows and feeding them. There will be a special discussion on go-mata, and a report on the Goshala will be presented for the pleasure of all the assembled vaishnavas. · Ganga puja Devotees will go to Ganga along with Srila Prabhupada in a big procession to bathe in her purifying waters. Arati will be offered to Mother Ganga. · Attractive stage programs Performances by international and local devotees. · Continuous free prasad distribution It was Srila Prabhupada's desire that free prasadam be distributed to every pilgrim that visits Mayapur. By following his instruction, Mayapur has become famous for prasadam dsitribution. This year also, free Khichari and Sweet Rice prasadam will be distributed to all the visiting pilgrims during the festival period. · Lighting 515 lamps to commemorate 515th birth Anniversary of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Devotees can sponsor a lamp by donating $11 and will receive the prasad lamp as a return souvenir. · Kalash abhishek-A kalash can be sponsored for $108 to bathe Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu on His appearance day. (Brahmana-initiated devotees can personally bath the Lord. Others can pour into the conchshell from the Kalash). · Seminars by ISKCON leaders · Exhibitions , Special exhibition of the Pastimes of Sri Krsna Bhagavan and Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu. · Ranganiketan Manipur dancers, The best Drums & Mridanga players in the world will be presenting their main shows during the festival.
