Ox and Cow herdsperson with additional assistance to Wedding departme

There is currently a post available for an Ox and Cow herdsperson with

additional role of wedding set up assistant.

 

This post has a salary and is open for those who would like to do it as an

un-employed volunteer and for those who would like to be employed as a wage

earner.

 

The post involves:

 

1. Milking the cows part time and covering times when other department

members are on holiday.

2. Working Oxen in various agricultural aspects as well as general estate

and visitor activities.

3. General farm work as required.

4. Assisting with the wedding department in the set up and dismanteling of

wedding paraphernalia.

5. As the place of employment is in the Bhaktivedanta Manor estate you may

occasionally be required to perform general temple activities as

appropriate.

 

 

 

This post is primarily a manual role and will require good health and in

particular a good back. Applicants should be able to work without

supervision and with supervision. You should be able to work on your own and

work with others.

 

The post will be suitable for applicants who are looking for a settled

employment and living position.

 

This post is not suitable for applicants who are justing looking for a way

to get to the UK.

 

We are particularly interested in persons who are interested in a vocation

that is centered around animals and land cultivation.

 

Preferably applicants will have had some experience with dealing with

animals and/or land cultivation although this is not essential if the

applicant is serious.

 

Training in all aspects of the role will be given.
