I need to have referenced information on the Swastika. 1. It's significance 2. It's meaning 3. It's purpose 4. It's origin 5. Sanskrit word break down(hence its meaning) I work as a Youth Worker at a college and celebrate national, ethnic events as an educational tool to overcome ignorance and intolerance to cultural differences, practices and beliefs. I recently presented a display on Diwali/Deepavali which was very well received with a few narrow minded comments. Our Iskcon Educational Services- Bhaktivendanta Manor(England)- Fact Files were very informative and praised! I am now inundated with questions on the Swastika as it is commonly believed to be of German origin due to Hitlers use of it. I have been addressing questions to the best of my ability but there is a need for more information. Your urgent response and assistance will be greatly appreciated.
