Guest guest
Hare Krishna, PAMHO. AGTSP! It appears that there is a mistake in the VCal computer program, concerning the date of observance of Radhastami for some places this year. HH Bhanu Maharaja is recommending that some temples observe on 4 September, not on 3 September as calculated by the VCal computer program for these places. This change will only affect locations between longitudes of approximately 50 to 90 degrees East. This includes all of India and neighboring countries, Far Western China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, parts of Iran and, for the FSU, places such as Almata, Tashkent, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, and Sverdlovsk. It does not affect Mauritius or the Middle East. I cannot give an exhaustive list of cities which will be affected because I do not have an exhaustive list of longitudes and latitudes for all cities. Anyone can write to me with their exact longitude and latitude and I will advise them accordingly. For those that want the technical information, Bhanu Maharaja's text is quoted below. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. And we will arrange for a new version of VCal to be distributed as soon as possible.
