RECEPTION IN KOLKATA:

 

For the convenience of devotees arriving for this year's Gaura Purnima

Festival, ISKCON Kolkata has kindly agreed to provide reception desks at

Kolkata airport (national & international terminals) and Howrah railway

station. These reception desks will remain open from February 18th to 22nd,

providing information and help for arriving devotees.

arrival-details (date & time, mode of transport, if taxi or transport has

PARIKRAMA:

 

We need to know in advance how many devotees will participate in this year's

Nabadwip Mandala Parikrama. There will be three groups (not four, as

announced earlier): One for Bengali-, one for English-, and one for

Russian-speaking devotees. The Russian group will return to ISKCON Mayapur

every evening, while for the English group arrangements will be made to

spend the night at the parikrama site. For those who prefer to return to

Mayapur, transport will be available as well.

 

Please register for the parikrama _now_ by writing to Siddharta Prabhu at

mghb (AT) pamho (DOT) net.

 

Parikrama registration fee is U$ 35.00 and can be paid upon arrival in Sri

Mayapur.

 

 

TRANSPORTATION:

 

To avoid delay or harassment and cheating by taxi-drivers at airport or

railway station, you should book your transportation to Mayapur now. Write

to Purananda prabhu (purananda.jps (AT) pamho (DOT) net) and provide all relevant

details, i.e., arrival-date & -time, number of devotees, and what vehicle

you require.

 

Rates:

 

Tata Sumo (carries 10 persons, w/o luggage) Airport -> Mayapur: Rs. 1,300;

Howrah -> Mayapur: Rs. 1,400;

Ambassador (carries 4-5 persons, w/o luggage) Airport -> Mayapur: Rs. 1,100;

Howrah -> Mayapur: Rs. 1,200;

Bus (40-50 seats), Airport -> Mayapur: Rs. 5,500.
