Guest guest
Dear devotees, Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. After Gaura Purnima, the Radha Madhava preschool play-group started its new school year. As is the tradition in Vedic culture, children performed the Vidyarambha ceremony - when they write their first alphabet. This ceremony is done before children start their education, between the age of three and five. The transcendental twins of Mayapur, Jananivasa prabhu and Pankajanghri prabhu, held the little hands of each child to help them write Hare Krishna with a golden stick on a silver plate - full of sindhur. Their Lordships Sri Sri Panca Tattva witnesed the occation and blessed their young devotees. After the auspicious writing, the mothers of the children worshipped Their Lordships, the sadhu perceptors and their children with the ghee lamps. This was followed by distribution of sweet rice for visitors and devotees present. Attached are some pictures taken during the ceremony. your servant, Nirgata devi dasi
