RE: URGENT Job opportunity for a Restaurant Manager

 

We (Govinda's Limited, owned and operated by private individuals) are in the

process of buying a vegetarian restaurant in Kingsbury, London NW9

(wwww.yogijis.com) called Yogi Ji's. It serves a combination of

international cuisine such as mexican, indian, western etc. It all also has

a large eggless cake business.

 

We will continue running the restaurant as it is, with the same name and

set-up. Changes will include, hiring an ISKCON chef (to allow us to serve

prasadam), and exploiting growth opportunities.

 

Salary will be circa 25,000 GBP + 5% profit share (currently valued at circa

5,000 GBP but with the opportunity to grow substantially). It is currently

profitable with good potential to expand. Current staff is well trained and

will be staying on.

 

As manager, you will be responsible for daily operations, staff management,

book keeping and exploiting growth opportunities. You will also be

responsible for monitoring kitchen and food standards, and introducing new

lines when appropriate and in accordance with company strategy. You will

have support in accounting, developing strategy and marketing.

 

We are looking for an entrepreneurial person who is excited by the

opportunity to develop growth out of a currently successful business. You

should be comfortable with keeping basic accounts (or be able to learn this

very fast), and preferably have some retail management experience (not

essential). We would stress the need for initiative in this role as though

the restaurant is currently profitable, there exists good scope for

expansion.

 

Start date will most likely be some time in February 2004 and so we are keen

to begin talking to potential candidates as soon as possible.

 

This project has been developed as a private initiative to further invest in

ISKCON-friendly ventures and any equity unallocated to management will be

used for this purpose.
