Guest guest
Dear Gopal Bhatta Prabhu, Please accept our humble obeisances. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada! As per your request made in a communiqué(see below) signed, dated: Thu, 13 Jan 2005?; titled: "Strategic Planning". Please take note that, in ISKCON, the only(nasty eva) 'strategy' known/revealed by Guru, Sadhu and Sastra, including Srila Prabhupada, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati, Gaura Kisora(Babaji), Bhaktivinoda Thakura, Rupa, Sanatana, Jiva and any and all others, would be the process of unmotivated and uninterrupted: harer nama harer nama harer namaiva kevalam kalau nasty eva nasty eva nasty eva gatir anyatha (Brhan Naradiya Purana 38.126 and reaffirmed at C.C. Adi.17.21) Propounded and expounded upon by Sri Krsna Caitanya Himself and recorded in Srila Locana Dasa Thakura's, Sri Caitanya Mangala; Madhya-khanda, chapter I, segment titled: "Hari-nama - the Only Way" and is as follows: "One day in the home of Srivasa Thakura, Lord Visvambhara called all His associates and said, "Listen to this wonderful story about how to attain love of Radha and Krishna in the age of Kali." Then the Lord quoted the Naradiya Purana(38.126): "In Kali-yuga the chanting of the Lord's holy name is the only means of deliverance. There is no other way; there is no other way; there is no other way." Lord Gaura said, "The fools in the age of Kali don't understand that the Lord's name is equal to the original transcendental form of God. Vyasadeva repeated this fact three times in order to dispel the doubts of these dull and sinful souls. Furthermore, Vyasa used the word kevalam to indicate that by chanting without offense one obtains liberation. Vyasadeva also discouraged demigod worship by repeating Hari's name three times(Harer nama...). The Vedas prove that one should definitely do Hari-nama..." ***** Further explained, by Sri Caitanya; and again recorded in Srila Locana Dasa Thakura's, Sri Caitanya Mangala; Madhya-khanda, chapter 9, in segment titled: "Gauranga Glorifies the Sankirtana Yajna" "The next day Gauranga sat on a divine seat and said, "The glories of sankirtana-yajna are mentioned in all scriptures. It is the essence of dharma, especially in the age of Kali. This truth is revealed in the fifth Veda [Mahabharata, Puranas] and glorified by the five-mouthed Lord Siva. "Narada, playing his vina and dancing, along with Sukadeva and Sanat Kumara, continually praises the sankirtana-yajna. In Vrndavana, Radha and Krishna dance ecstatically with the gopis in prema sankirtana. Sankirtana-yajna also exists in Goloka. Lord Siva glorifies that maha-bhava prema, but cannot attain that degree of pure love. That same love I manifest in Kali-yuga. "One gets enlightened by singing the names of the Lord. In the form of sound vibration, the Lord manifested His mercy in Kali- yuga. The sound of Hari's names pleases the entire universe. The taste of this sound is like ghee. It enters through the ear-holes and falls into the fire of one's heart, igniting the blazing fire of bhava [love of Krishna]. "Then the body erupts in ecstatic symptoms such as crying, trembling and horripilation. Free from all sins, he relishes the nectar of pure Krishna consciousness and sings and dances in unbounded joy. At that time, he has absolutely no attraction for the four types of liberation, even though they chase after him. "All the Vaisnava acaryas are sitting around that fire-yajna to grant all success. Know for certain that sankirtana-yajna is the best form of worship. By performing sankirtana one gets the greatest treasure of Krishna-prema. Nityananda Avadhuta is the master of the storehouse of prema, and Gadadhara is the house- wife. "Advaita Acarya firmly established the sankirtana-yajna by calling Me down to the material world. Taking all My devotees such as Srivasa, Narahari and others, I have spread the sankirtana movement. Now take this sankirtana door to door. Let all the fallen, sinful people be delivered." After hearing Lord Gauranga, the devotees began crying and fell at His feet. Then Gaurahari lovingly embraced them. Everyone please enjoy these transcendental topics sung by the poet Locana Dasa. ....and sealed with Srimad Bhagavatam 11.5.32 as: krsna-varnam tvisakrsnam sangopangastra-parsadam yajnaih sankirtana-prayair yajanti hi sumedhasah TRANSLATION In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the name of Krsna. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Krsna Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions. Therefore, our humble suggestion, as previously forwarded to: sspt(at)spiritualstrategicplanningteam.com ....would be: "All your resolutions are finished. First resolution, then revolution, then dissolution - no solution!"(SP.) Wherein will be the benefits in yet another committee and more meetings? Why waste so much of our precious time, in this human form of life? Wherein would be the practicality in remaining blind, deaf and mute? The solution to all our difficulties is right under our noses... The only process the we have heard of, from Guru, Sadhu and Sastra, in this age of Kali, for any shape and/or form of advancement/purification, is by pleasing Guru and Nityananda; which is done, quite simply, by daily going out unto the streets, of the world and distribute, liberally to one and all, Krsna Nama(yuga/sanatana-dharma/bhakti), prasadam and SP's books. Perhaps, if we performed these as opposed to yet more material/ mental(jnanic) wranglings'(meetings), we would meet with some form of, SPIRITUAL, success. "yasya prasada bhagavat prasada yasyaprasadam na gatih kutopi" Hoping this meets you all well, in full K.c.. In the interim, i shall remain "iha yasya harer dasye"; and attempting to become a true servant of the servants of Srila Prabhupada; Radha Govinda dasa / rgovindadasa(at) NB. Any and all devotees who would have some interest in the daily practice(sadhana) of this yuga/sanatana-dharma, may contact us at above address. ******************************************************* Strategic Planning Dear Vaishnava, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. As a devotee of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna, you may well find the following of great interest. For many years Srila Prabhupada's American and Canadian disciples helped pioneerKrishna consciousness around the world. Though in recent years, ISKCON North America has had more than its share of problem and struggles, we are now in the beginning of a period of dynamic change. Srila Prabhupada once told Giriraja Swami that continuing ISKCON in his absence would require "organization and intelligence." In that spirit, ISKCON leaders and senior devotees have organized the "Spiritual Strategic Planning Team" (SSPT) to systematically revive Krsna conscious development in North America. They have worked hard with many other devotees to develop over 50 uplifting Initiatives for ISKCON North America. The SSPT has now invited 100 highly qualified devotees to work on these Initiatives in Dallas January 22 and 23, 2005. Please share your input. Regardless of your position, your point of view or even the country in which you preach, your views are important to us. To look over the Initiatives, please visit our website at http:// www.spiritualstrategicplanningteam.com. From there you can easily send your comments and suggestions. Whatever you send in advance of January 21 will be presented to the appropriate devotees. Thank you. Your servant; Gopal Bhatta das, on behalf of the SSPT PS: Please feel free to forward this letter to anyone whose input you feel could also help. Mail - Easier than ever with enhanced search.
