Your servant, Alakananda Dasi Secretary of Bhaktivedanta College ---------- Bhaktivedanta College Vaishnava Theological Seminary Congregational Development Course (10 Sessions) Monday - Friday February 2 - 6, 2004 Facilitator: Kripamoya Dasa Cost: 20 Euro + accommodation* Developing your Congregation Kripamoya shares 25-years-worth of knowledge in congregational development. His practice in the field is related through amusing stories and personal experiences. He covers topics such as: 1. When people buy a book, how do we systematically help them take the next step? 2. Developing interest through the mail, local groups and festivals. 3. How to keep the interest of your newest members fresh. 4. How to stop the congregation from slipping through your fingers. 5. Engaging members in service, support and preaching. 6. What do you do when your members have spiritual problems? 7. What to do, and what not to do, with your congregational group (Bhakti-vriksha, Nama-Hatta). 8. Travelling preachers and ministers. These sessions will take place in the morning. In the evening, Kripamoya will speak about grhastha asrama: "Marriages within ISKCON work best if they are happy, fulfilling, and emotionally and spiritually healthy. They can make your temple, community and the movement prosper. They are not always like that, of course, but it's not because we aren't good devotees. After 21 years of marriage, and 21 years of making big mistakes as a husbandand a father, Kripamoya thought he would research and compile some Golden Rules of married life. He was surprised to find how simple they were. These light-hearted yet informative evening discussions cover preparation for marriage; your mutual expectations of each other; the stages of married life; learning to adjust; progressive relationships; marriage maintenance; dealing with temptation; marriage after 10 years and children; finding true friendship. All devotees are welcome."
