Dear Maharaja,

 

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

I have a few recommendations for the Global Excellence Awards, in the

following catagories. Although I am a full-time member of ISKCON since 1982

I can not claim to be an authority. However, I have also mentioned ISKCON

authorities who can confirm my recommendations. Thank for your

consideration.

 

> 1. Book Distribution

Visvareta das (ACBSP) - Who has for years placed Srila Prabhupada's sets of

books in US universities and libraries. He works with the BBT and GN Press

under his organization Bhakti Rasamrta Trust (aka Vedic Trust).

> 2. Child Protection Services

Maha Visnu Priya devi dasi (ACBSP) - Who has given many services in Alachua

and other communities to educate parents and children in child protection.

She is currently a part of a task force in ALACHUA that assists the

community members in dealing with these and other counseling issues. A

reference for her could come from Dhira Govinda Prabhu or Nanda Mataji,

although there are many senior devotees not in Authoritative positions that

could vouch for her efferts.

Radha dasi (Gurukuli) She recently joined BTG and is doing a wonderful job

in coordinating many office related duties.

 

Yamaraja (ACBSP) for his over 30 years of dedicated service as photographer

and layout desin person. He is a hidden jewel of the Back To Godhead staff

for his stalwart service.

 

Nagaraja Prabhu could be a reference for both these devotees.

> 5. Overall ISKCON's Interest/ Overall Preaching

> 6. Outstanding Pujari Seva

Goloka das (BhaktiBusana Swami disciple) - He is really first class and

takes care of Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan of Abentheur, Germany. His steady

devotion and standards are praiseworthy, especially under very austere

conditions with practically no help, except for his wife and another

devotee. HH Sacinandana Maharaja can vouch for his service.

> 9. Prasadam Distribution

Gainesville Preaching Center - For over thirty years they have consistantly

distributed prasadam at the University of Florida in Gainesville. HH

Hrydayananda Maharaja can vouch as well as Sesa Prabhu.

>Vegetarianism Promotion

Sudharma devi dasi (ACBSP) - She has promoted vegetarianism on a large scale

through her connections with F.A.R.M. and organization in Washington DC. She

has put together an very comprehensive website for them. I believe it is

choice.com. If you log into her wenpage you will see for yourself what she

has done to promote vegetarianism. She also reached many people on the

legislative level of the US to promote vegetarianism in the schools of

America. Her efforts have gotten much recognition, and already some States

have made official guidlines that promote more vegetarian meals in schools.

 

She is very humble about these accomplishments and does her preaching at

home. However, as the food service manager in our school in Alachua I was

able to see her efforts first hand. Nanda Mataji (temple president of

Alachua) and Sesa Prabhu may or may not be aware of this great preaching

endeavor.

HH Bhakti Caru Maharaja for his Abhay Caran series.

> 14. Opening New Vedic Temple

Radha Jivan Prabhu (disciple of Tamal Krishna Goswami) He is opening temples

in India. One in Dvarka in conjunction with Maha Visnu Swami. I do not know

where the others are. He lives in Alachua and through his clothing business

he supports the opening up of these temples.

> 15. Bhaktivedanta Archives

> 16. Setting Ideal Ashrama Example

HG Annutama Prabhu and Rukmini Mataji (both isciples of ACBSP)- they set a

wonderful example of the grhastha ashrama in every way possible. It is

difficult to explain entirely. The way they conduct themselves, their

relationship with ISKCON, their giving in charity to Srila Prabhupada's

mission and supporting the endeavors of the devotees.

> 18. Caring for Devotees

Vraja Lila Mataji (BTS disiple) She is famous for her courses on Conflict

Resolution, Servant Leadership, Nectar of Instruction, and others within the

movement and outside the movement. The theme of all of her courses is Caring

for the Devotees. She is also a practical example of this in her many years

of assisting devotees in their spiritual lives. She has a listening ear and

an open heart. Bhakti Tirtha Swami or Braja Bihari Prabhu can vouch for her

service.

> 21. Promoting Education in ISKCON -

Braja Bihari Prabhu (disciple of Bhurijana Prabhu)of Vrndavana Institute.

>From his initial organization all Institutes for Education have manifested.

Any ISKCON authority can vouch for him. Specifically you could ask HG

Ravindra Svarupa Prabhu, Bhurjana Prabhu, HH Dhanudara Maharaja.

 

These are the only recommendations I can make now. Thank you for having such

awards to encourage the devotees who are pushing on Srila Prabhupada's

movement and message throughout the world.
