Guest guest
Dear Devotees ' Dandavat Pranams, The installation of the Sri Panca Tattva Life size Deities in definitely one of the most important events in the History of our movement and as much as we send reports on this event would never be enough to describe the Glories of this transcendental installation of The Most merciful Lordships, for the last few days we have been sending few reports and a lot of pictures since the pictures represents a lot for those who were not able to be physically present in Mayapur, but at the same time each report has it's own shakti and feeling, and for the last few days HH Bhaktisiddhanta Swami (JPS) dedicate part of his time during the day to write excellent reports about all the major events we have in The Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir, Few minutes back I asked Maharaja why we didn't see him on the stage program? So His reply was "Actually I wanted to write a report to the devotees and send them to you to post them". It is true that this is what the devotees need from us who are in the Holydham having the association of great vaishnavas and vaishnavis taking part in these very historic events that are very special for our spiritual life, thanks to Maharaja HH Bhaktisiddhanta Swami who share with us his realizations and reports about the festivities in Mayapur specially the installation of Sri Sri Panca Tattva Bhagavan Deities. I was planing to send a picture with this text but i prefer not to overload more your inbox, so please visit www.mayapur.info and www.mayapurnews.com for more pictures and updates. ys Tmkd Bhaktisiddhanta Swami (Mayapur - IN) 23-Feb-04 20:46 +0530 Tusti Mohan Krsna (das) JPS (JPS Off. MYR-IN) [97083] SRI SRI PANCA TATTVA ARE ALIVE AND NOW WITH US --------------------------- SRI SRI PANCA TATTVA ARE ALIVE AND NOW WITH US Yesterday, in order to truly invite the Lords, was a maha abhisek of Srila Prabhupada in the Puspa Samadhi on his 108th anniversary presence in this world. Worship of the devotee precedes the mercy of the Lord. Then in the evening, the Tattva Niyasa Homa ceremony was performed where the all the Lord’s transcendental limbs are brought to life, with five devotees on the bamboo platform behind, and five servants in front at Their lotus feet, holding 4 foot kusa grass rods. They would stroke the different sides of the bodies of the Lords in accompaniment with the pancaratric mantras chanted by our ‘yajna brahamanas’, sitting around a fire outside and just to the left of the altar. Sometimes the grass rod-like staffs would be placed on the Lords heart and then brought over to the corresponding limb as the particular mantras were invoked. Jananivas’s explanation to this was this “When the installation of the Lord takes place, the devotee meditates on the Lord in the heart and then asks this Lord to enter the heart of the deity.” The pancaratric mantras and the ritualistic awakening of the Lords different limbs perform a similar function. Their Lordships were also tied together by along rope(around the waist), signifying how the life force would enter into all five Personalities. The chanting of the Hare Krsna Maha Mantra was performed as the transcendental back drop to this scene by Sivarama Swami and BB Govinda Maharaja. Sometimes singing together, they would combine in unison, supported again by a flute, violin and saxophone. As the installation procedures progressed, a ‘Presence’ seemed to be ever increasing. In the late evening Aindra’s troop returned for variations in kirtan and a window experience to Vrindaban dhama. Today is the final day of beckoning. The abhisek began at 7:30am. Aindra prabhu initiated the daily glorification, a morning raga accented by 4 mridangas and kartels. The doors opened once more and a tumultuous roar came up from the crowd. Bamboo pathways for crowd control had sectioned off areas in the temple. The section up front was for VIP’s, Donors, Life Members, Sannyasis and GBC. The middle catered to the dancing devotees and the rear, as an on going traffic que where people would constantly walk, receive a momentary darshan and file out. This is similar to what you find in Tirupati and other ‘crowd handler’ temples. Gopal Krsna Goswami represented the GBC, and HH Jayapataka Swami, the Mayapur management, in the performance of the abhisek. The gurukula academy, teachers and students, all dressed in matching tan dhotis, assisted with the complex procedures ahead. Ganga jal, yogurt, ghee, honey, colored water, powders, towels, and flowers were poured over the Lords glistening Forms. Every layer and intermittent water cleanse seemed to nourish the Lords more and more. With hundreds a litres of liquids coating the altar, the pakka little gurukula students looked like Lord Ramacandra’s monkey soldiers(this time with dhoti tails), pushed the rivers of caranamrita to the left, using the long semi tubular plant stalks as ploughs to contain and guide the thick waters. The ‘little warriors’ would sometimes leap and slide halfway across the altar on their knees, as they played and performed valuable service while the elders focussed in another world. When the cleansing was complete, the Lordships were ever so radiant. One of the pujaris made the mistake of closing the doors too early during the final puspa abhisek, which frustrated the audience to prematurely miss out on a further darshan, and when corrected, cries of relief and thanks came forth for the few more minutes available to observe the Lords. Camera personnel were constantly buzzing about like bees capturing every angle and detail of this spiritual history. Hari Sauri had to physically escort HH Bhativaibava Swami, who was in camera pose blocking the sitting audience, off the platform in front of the altar. Others would sit at the base of the platform, still before everyone, but were not so much a distraction, getting a front row seat in this most spectacular mela, and sometimes just forgetting about the shooting and just gawking at the event above. Then the doors just closed and we were separated from the Lords till 1 pm. after Their dress, bhoga, and rest. Tonight, we had our first Maha Sandhya Arotik, something that in the past we could only dream about, but now by the grace of the Lord has become a full-fledged reality. Indradumnya Swami led a sweet seranade kirtan, before the colorfully dressed Lords, wearing Their beautiful ornaments and attire, accenting each individual Personality. They have manifested by Their own sweet will to guide and direct us, especially at an important time. We pray that each of us can stay with Them, for the future has already been mapped out, the question is who will assist in Their plan? In conclusion, I asked Radhanath Swami this question, “What affect do you see that the installation of the Sri Sri Panca Tattva will have on our society”. He replied “ The Panca Tattva have come to deliver this world, and according to our level of purity we will become recipients of different degrees of Their Mercy”. They are now alive in our midst more than ever before, now let us pray to become ‘live’ instruments in Their Midst. Sri Sri Panca Tattva ki jaya!
