Guest guest
How do butterflies find their way when they migrate? Why do plants turn toward the sun? How satisfying it is to assist these children to explore Krishna's greatness through nature! And now you have the opportunity to be a part of this thrill of discovery. Two kind donors have already given us almost $1000 of the $5000 needed to purchase the equipment, kits, and videos to complete our nature study program for grades 1-8 (ages 5-13, our school goes up to age 18). With some help from each of you reading this, we will soon have a first-class facility to educate these devotees! Students study nature through hands-on discovery rather than merely ramming names and facts through their brains with textbooks. Their study of nature simultaneously allows these second and third generation devotees to deepen their love for Krishna, prepare them as preachers, and give them the knowledge and skills expected of modern students in the sciences. Srila Prabhupada said, "From nature we can study so many things, very instructive. Krishna has made the nature in such a way that any intelligent man, if he studies simply the nature. he becomes a very learned man, if he has got the capacity to study nature." (Lecture: Srimad-Bhagavatam 6.1.10 -- Los Angeles, June 23, 1975) How can you help? You can go to our website, http://www.radharani.com, and donate through paypal. Let us know that you want to give to the nature study program. You can send a check directly to Padma Academy, 915 Dimmocks Mill Rd., Hillsborough NC, 27278. Or, if you want to order materials directly from the company, Delta, you can e-mail our teacher, Campakalata devi dasi (campakadd (AT) earthlink (DOT) net) to get the list of what we need and then decide what specific kits, videos, and materials you'd like to purchase for us. Of course, general donations for the school are also always welcome! "It is the most important preaching work, to train our children in Krishna Consciousness education of life." (Srila Prabhupada's Letter to Mohanananda - 11 December 1972) Thank you very much. Your servant, Urmila devi dasi
