Guest guest
Hare Krishna, Rabindranatha Prabhu--Dandavat pranams. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Congratulations on your desire to establish a varnasrama college in America, as per His Divine Grace's long-standing order. Here are some resources you can look at, if you haven't already: 1. Speaking About Varnasrama. Volume One of Hare Krishna Mataji's compilation of Prabhupada's instructions on establishing daivi-varnasrama dharma. Excellent overview of Prabhupada's vision. Available from the Bhaktivedanta Archives at (336) 871-3636. 2. The Rupanuga Vedic College. Danavir Maharaja's Vedic seminary in Kansas City is his first step in building a varnasrama college. I taught there for three weeks this summer. Excellent training program for young men. Visit the RVC's website at www.rvc.edu. 3. The Hare Krishna Rural life website at www.hkrl.com. Full of articles and perspectives on establishing a rural varnasrama community. 4. Hare Krishna Mataji. Our former BTG simple-living columnist is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom about establishing varnasrama and a varnasrama college in America. Write her at npetroff (AT) bowdoin (DOT) edu. Establishing daivi-varnasrama dharma in the modern world, starting with the varnasrma college, is Prabhupada's ultimate challenge and vision for our international society. Without meeting his challenge, we're fairly useless. May Krishna bless you in your noble endeavor. Yours in service, Suresvara dasa
Guest guest
Dear Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. I am looking for a place for developing a Varnasrama College in the U.S. that has plenty of local water for growing crops, good soil and moderate year round weather. I was wondering if you know of any place in America that would be a good for this? Thank you very much.
