I have heard that the GBC passed a resolution saying that a temple cannot accept a visiting devotee to stay overnight in that temple unless they have a recommendation from their temple president or spiritual master. While I was staying in Radha Gopinath Mandir, Chowpatty, they were very strict to follow this rule. Temples who have small children around like schools, etc, should be even more so extremely, extremely careful who comes and stays with them for obvious reasons.
