I have heard from devotees that used to distribute books in the Philadelphia

region that they would often sell books to the Amish, and that they would

have very nice converstions with them about spiritual life. It seems like

the fruit of that preaching has affected these Amish youth!

In many ways the Amish way of life is the kind of life that Srila Prabhupada

wanted us to live when he taught us about simple living and high thinking.

Wouldn't it be nice if our two groups could get together sometimes and learn

from each other: they about vegetarianism and the deep personal aspects of

Krsna consciousness, and we about how to be satisfied with what we can

produce simply by ourselves, and giving up dependance on outside society.

Maybe the older Amish would be too set in their ways, but the

youngsters...who knows?

Is there any way to get the relevant footage from that TV program?

Here in Central Spain at New Vrajamandala we have begun a fledgeling

varnasrama community called Madhuvan Eco Village, and we are looking for

devotees who seriously wish to learn to live the way Srila Prabhupada

described when he spoke on this subject.

If anyone is interested please check out our website...www.madhuvan.org

Its a bit slow to load unless you have broadband, it was created by my wife

and I last winter, and we had to learn website design every step of the way.

Were looking for someone who can maybe speed it up for us!
