Recently members the VAST conference, which is primarily for devotees who

are graduate students of teachers at colleges and universities, suffered the

indignation of having portions of posts presenting challenging views to the

standard interpretations of SP's teachings quoted out of context and without

permission on VNN. The person posting the texts was not and never had been a

member of the conference, so we have no way of knowing how he obtained the

transcripts. VAST has always had a policy requesting that members not repost

or cross-post to other conferences precisely because out-of-context posts

lead to incorrect conclusions and offensive behavior. This, however, did not

prevent some unscrupulous person(s) from doing just that.
