MAYAPUR FESTIVAL 2005

&

SRILA PARBHUPADA FAMILY MAHAREUNION

 

 

 

Dear devotees and followers of ISKCON,

 

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

ISKCON Mayapur festival committee is planning to observe Mayapur festival

2005 in a very grand way in order to celebrate 108th birth anniversary of

Srila Prabhupada.

 

The special feature of this year festival will be the Maha reunion of

Srila Prabhupada family . We are expecting hundreds of Srila Prabhupada

disciples will come to share their experience with Srila Prabhupada. This

will be very exciting festival of hearing Srila Prabhupada katha from the

mouth of devotees who have come in direct contact with Srila Prabhupada.

Many old time disciples of His Divine Grace also are expected to attend

this festival. There is a plan for five days festival of Prabhupada Katha

just before Navadwip mandal parikrama starts. This will be really a

unique historical event where so many of Srila Prabhupada disciples will

gather. This is a great opportunity for all ISKCON followers to come to

Mayapur during this festival and take the advantage of hearing from Srila

Prabhupada disciples on HDG's pastimes.

 

We heartily invite all ISKCON devotees to attend this grand festival. Like

previous years this year also there will be no festival fee and free

prasad will be distributed to all devotees.

 

We have formed one Invitation Committee specially to invite all Srila

Prabhupada disciples. Very soon they will publish more informations . But

now I just wanted to publish some information about the festival program

as many devotees are writing to me to know about the highlights and

schedule of Mayapur festival 2005.

February 27 GBC Meeting starts

 

March 8 Arrival of devotees

 

March 9 - 12 Srila Prabhupada Family reunion

 

March 13 Sri Sri Pancha Tattva Instalation Brahmotsava

 

March 14 - 20 Navadvipa Mandal Parikrama

 

March 22 Santipur Festival

 

March 25 Gaura Purnima

 

On March 13 , there will be Brahmoutsava. That day big Panchatattva

deities' maha abhishek will be performed .

 

During last five days of festival there will be many festivities like

Ratha yatra, Ganga puja, Yajna, pandal programs, exhibition etc.

 

Festival committee is planning to build an exhibition pavilion on whole

ISKCON. Leaders and devotees of different parts of the world are requested

to send us as many photos and reports on their achievements as possible. I

request all GBCs and Temple presidents to take some special interest on it

and appoint some one to do this job. You can send all information through

e-mail or CD. We will print here every thing for exhibition.
