Dear All

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am in negotiations with BBC2 TV on a documentary featuring the main

religions in the UK. ISKCON will feature providing we can come up with the

right family.

Please read below and contact me if you are that family or if you know such

a family.

The family we are looking for:

Living in the Greater London area

Visiting Soho temple regularly

Following the principles and regulations

Home shrine

Not of any spesific ethnic group

Children

Judging by the current success of the Channel 4 series being filmed we

should not miss this opportunity.

Please e-mail me or call me on 07905-279179 by the latest next Monday.

Regards.

Your servant.

Hari-dhama dasa.

Documentary on religion

---------------------------

Dear Henry,

Thank you for all your assistance so far. I thought it might help to

outline some information about our company, the programme and the kind of

family that we're looking for.

I work for an independent television production company called KEO Films.

We produce a wide range of documentaries for broadcasters such as the BBC,

Channel 4, and The Discovery Channel.

We are developing an idea for a series of programmes about religions in

Britain. The presenter would spend a day with a range of practising

religious families (e.g. Sikh or Buddhist) to learn about their beliefs,

customs and how religion affects their daily lives. BBC2 are interested in

the programme. To decide whether to commission the programme we are making

them something similar to a pilot that won't be televised.

We're looking for a Hare Krishna family living in London for the Channel 4

presenter Tony to spend 24 hours with. It would be on a weekend, maybe

Sunday since that's the day most families go to the temple. The presenter

would watch, learn, ask questions, help out and take part where possible.

It's an opportunity to give a true representation of their faith.

The family should be fully practising Hare Krishnas, but also lively,

sociable and charismatic. It would be ideal but not essential if the

children were old enough to talk. It doesn't matter if the family is

conservative or liberal, or their ethnic origins. It's more important that

the family have great personalities and are fully practising e.g. meditating

daily, having a shrine at home.

We would film for one full day within the next few weekends (4/5 Dec 2004

onwards). It would be a small crew - 3 people maximum. Unfortunately, we

are unable to provide the family with a fee although we will cover the costs

of the production.

It would be helpful to have a few families to talk to because their

activities and age of children will vary. If a family is interested, what

I'll do once I have their contact details is have a chat with them to find

out the number of people in their family, their ages and what they tend to

do on weekends.

I look forward to hearing from you early next week.

Many thanks,

Ayan
