I just received an e-mail from a person who apparently wants to be a devotee.

His message follows:

 

Haribol!

My name is Robert Quiggle and I live in Knoxville (Tennessee). Five or

six

years ago I met a devotee outside a supermarket here and had a very

interesting talk. I was (and am) interested in eastern

spirituality--the Gita and the Upanisads in particular--and at the time

was leaning toward vegetarianism.

Anyway, this devotee's enthusiam led me shortly thereafter to

become lacto-vegetarian, and subsequently vegan. But a series of

personal tragedies wrecked my spiritual life--or maybe I allowed them to

wreck it. In any case, it is time the gloom began to clear.

This devotee has no idea of how that short conversation changed my

life for the better. Despite my spiritual shortcomings the dietary

change alone helped me lose one hundred pounds! I would like to find

her to talk with her more but do not know how. Her name is Lachsmi

Priya dasi and lives in this area--or did then. I do not remember her

English name. She gave me her telephone number and also directions to

the temple here but they are long since lost. Does this name ring a

bell? If you now her or know of her please pass my

e-mail addy along to her. Please let me know, in any case.
