There most definitely is one this year, in London's 31st year of annual Rathayatra Festivals. It falls on India's independence day, 15th August, and will go from Hyde Park near Marble Arch at 12 noon, arriving at Trafalgar Square about 1:30pm. This is the same site that Srila Prabhupada personally attended several times, and follows the same route on which he danced all the way in 1973. We expect to feed about 12,000 people with a suptuous feast and have major book tables, kirtans, bhajans, Q & A areas, Ramayana drama, bharat-natyam, etc. Lord Jagannath has His place reserved on Nelson's Column from where He can view all the proceedings, and several Swamis and prominent dignitaries, including one MP, have agreed to attend. In fact we had to get permission at cabinet minister level for some of the facilities. We hope very much that many devotees and guests from all over the planet will kindly attend this auspicious occasion, and look forward to seeing you all there. your servant, Tribhangananda das (coordinator)
