Is the moon the moon?

Thanks for your responses. I do not have access to Internet, though. Still I

would say it´s a fairly straightforward question: Is the moon the moon? Is

the moon followed so closely by ie. Rahu that the scientists can be so

grossly mistaken?

The explanation that the moon looks closer because of our earthly viewpoint

I can accept. But then why are explanations given to humans which are meant

for demigods?
