Auspicious Temple Opening on 22nd January, 1999

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

 

It is my great pleasure to invite you to kindly bless us with your

presence on the auspicious occasion of the grand opening of the

glorious Sri Sri Radha Gopal Jiu Temple at ISKCON Gadei Giri,

Orissa, on 22nd January, 1999, Sri Vasanta Pancami day.

 

Sri Sri Radha Gopal Jiu are the beloved istadevas of our beloved

spiritual master Om Vishnupad Srila Gour Govinda Swami Maharaj. He

spent his childhood in Gadei Giri worshiping Them, and he remained

dedicated to Their service throughout his life. He always desired to

construct a wonderful temple for Them which would attract thousands

of devotees from all over the world. Now his dream is becoming a

reality and we are sure that he would want all of his godbrothers

and devotees of ISKCON to join with him for the inauguration.

 

The inauguration function will be conducted under the Presidentship

of His Holiness Bhaktisvarup Damodar Maharaj and the Chief Guest

will be Sri Dibyasingha Deb, the Gajapati Maharaja (King of Puri).

 

Five days of festivities are planned beginning from 19 January,

which will also include the installation of large Sri Sri Radha

Gopal Jiu and Sriman Gauranga Mahaprabhu deities on 22nd morning,

with temple opening and public program starting at 4 PM. We know you

all have busy schedules, but as you are all making your way to

Mayapur for the Annual Festival, please plan to be in Gadei Giri for

this special day.

 

We will be happy to provide all suitable accomodations in

Bhubaneswar for your comfortable stay, with daily transportation to

Gadei Giri. Please confirm your arrival via COM to Bhaktarupa Prabhu

or to Adwaitacarya Prabhu at the Bhubaneswar temple. We are prepared

to assist you in any way required.

 

We would also like to take this opportunity to beg forgiveness for

all of our offenses committed in the past, either knowingly or

unknowingly, and to humbly ask you to kindly overlook our

shortcomings and show us your mercy by kindly gracing this

auspicious occasion.
