Guest guest
Prabhupada states that Krishna is non different from Goverdhan Hill. At Hare Krishna Dham-Houston Goverdhan puja is a momentous festival 11/8/99. One of the deities is Giri Goverdhan,a sila from Goverdhan Hill. When this deity is installed Krishna is not asked to come because because Krishna is alredy there. The alter is filled with over 600 preparations because this is the one day of the year that anyone regardless of qualifications can cook for Krishna and have it offered on the alter. It was a huge festival and feast with sweetballs, pizza, pecan pies, subjis, cookies, home made ice cream and many more offerings. In the middle of the temple was a huge Goverdhan Hill made of ladus. The story of Krishna saving the residents of Vraja was told followed by a sweet aromic kirtan. One devotee remarked,"this is the very big kitchen religion." your servant, Pandava vijyaya dasa http://www/iskcon.net/houston
