Guest guest
AGTSP A quick answer: It is undoubtably true from availaable statistics that average body mass is increasing in many Western countries, like the US, but since most of the populations is in third world countries and we are frequently reminded of the food shrortages and famine in those areas, it would be very safe to say the major tendency on a world wide basis is toward smaller body statures. I am sure there are some relevant statistics; you just need to find. YFS, Jayo Das

Is it or is it not a fact that people are getting smaller in Kali Yuga at this point. It must be true because when King Mucukunda came out of the cave where he had slept for so long, the first thing he noted was that everything, in particular the trees had become smaller. So the problem is how to prove it to someone who doesn't accept sastra. It will of course increase our knowledge base and therefore our faith. So where all those scientists when you need them. Is there any learned person who could help us out here and give an indepth scientific analysis of the question. Begging to remain Ys Dvibhuja das > AGTSP > body statures. Even if the bodies are increasing in size, intelligence and memory are decreasing seriously.
Guest guest
I remember a small incident that took place in 1989, when I was a young college student in Chandigarh, North India. I was a part of a big contingent of the National Cadet Corps attached to an army camp going through a 4 month gruelling training session. The grand finale was a march down Rajpath in New Delhi on 26th January, India's Republic Day. As a part of the Gaurd of Honour for the late Rajiv Gandhi, some of us were given extra training. The training instructor passed a comment which left me wondering...this is what he said.... "I've been training cadets for the past 25 years. I've always had nothing less than 6 footers under my command. This is my last year, and what do I find? For the past 4 years, all my cadets seem to be growing shorter day by day, and I rarely find a six footer among you, just dwarfs! What's happening to this world?" This comment made me reflect on the Srimad Bhagavatam quote on the influence of Kali on phisiology, and I realized it was really hapenning! I can present similar account but with an opposite conclusion - at least regarding the body height progress: One of my high school teachers told us: "As I have observed the students during my career (more than 30 years) they are getting taller but dumber." So at least the psychical characteristics seem to follow the sastra. As far as the physical ones they seem to work well in India. 8) ys bh. Guest guest
I just visited tomb of an Old Testament prophet Daniel which is now situated in Samarkhand. He lived some 3000 years ago. The tomb is 18 metres long. That was supposedly his size
