Guest guest
Heard yesterday on the BBC international shortwave radio service's weekly religion program, "Focus on Faith": In the UK, as the millenium change approaches, the present top pop music piece is The Lord's Prayer, ("Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name... ") set to the tune of the traditionsal English New Year's song, Olde Lang Syne. It is by 40 years' veteran pop singer Cliff Richards and accompanied by non-jarring instrumetals. Pop music people were said to be "baffled" by the success of this openly religious peice. Some radio stations in effect banned the song until its rise to 'number one' made it impossible for them to continue to ignore it.
