How the Amish Adjust to the Secular World

Here is some interesting information on the Amish community in the

United States. It discusses how their community deals with issues that

are relevent to our movement such as adjusting to outside influences,

maintaining a simple lifestyle amidst a complicated world, allowing

children who grew up in the community to make their own lifestyle

decisions, etc .

 

 

 

Apparantly over 95% of Amish children choose to adhere to their self

sufficient and religiously governed upbringing. Perhaps we could learn

something from their 300+ years of communal maturation.
