This afternoon the Queen visited a Hindu temple (Highgate Hill Murugan temple) in North London. This was the first time the Queen visited a Hindu temple in the UK. This visit was was facilitated by the National Council of Hindu Temples (UK). HH Atmanivedana Swami and Bimal Krishna das attedend the 30 minute function at the temple where the Queen was presented Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad Gita As It Is. She was very pleased and received the Gita graciously. She looked at the cover and then handed the Gita to Prince Philip who immediately began to look thorugh the Gita and with a simle on his face commented 'Oh it is in English'.
