Dear Temple Presidents and interested devotees in the USA,

Namonamaha. Jaya Srila Prabhupada!

Smt. Rema (pronounced: "Rahmaa") Shrikant, who is the Director of the

"Ellora School for the Performing Arts" here at Baroda, will be visiting the

USA later this month on an extended tour.

She'll be based at Albany, New York, where she'll be guiding some students

in their first public dance performance of Bharat Natyam. This is known in

Tamil as the "Arangetral".

She is a versitile and recognized dance artist who teaches several forms of

traditional Indian dance forms such as Bharat Natyam, Mohiniattam (from

Kerala), Kathakali (also from Kerala) and Kuchipudi. She's been conducting

her classes in one of the halls here in the ISKCON Baroda temple compound

for the past couple of years.

You can learn more about her & her art from her website:

www.remashrikant.com.

On the website there are pictures of her performances, explainations of the

various dance performances and styles, etc.

Her schedule is such that she'll be free to perform between July 25 to July

31 and again from August 16 to August 23.

She can be contacted directly on her e-mail address, above. Of course there

will be transportation & other expenses involved, if you would like to

invite her to perform at your Mandir or Janmastami function. Please feel

free to contact her for more detailed information.

Hope this finds you all well.

Vaishnava dasanudas,

Basu Ghosh Das
