Dear Devotees,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

It is our pleasure to announce the first Bhakti Vaibhava Course offered

by the Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education. The main teachers will

be Bhurijana Prabhu and Narayani Mataji. Periodic classes will also be

presented by Maha Visnu Goswami, Bhakti Caitanya Swami, Gopiparanadhana

Prabhu, and Srimate Mataji.

The course will last for three years. The first year will be Cantos one and two

which will last 4 and a half months from July 11 to November 30, 2002. The

second year will have two semesters. Canto 3 starts July 11 to October 26.

There will be a three week break. Canto 4 starts November 18 and goes until

March 16, 2003. Either Canto 3 or 4 can be done by correspondence. The third

year will be for five months from July 11 to December 6, 2004.

The students should bring the required books for the cantos for each year's

study.

Requirements for admission: Serious sadhana, a Bhakti-sastri diploma (or

its equivalent, in special cases) and proficiency in English. You also

must have a recommendation from a senior devotee who knows you well.

In order to help cover the Institute's expenses connected with conducting the

course the participants have to contribute 10,000 Rupees (about $210). This

does not include room, prasadam, or Kartik courses.

To apply: E-mail us and we will send you an application. Prospective

students are required to register and must be approved by the VIHE

administration. Registration deadline is June 30.

The VIHE in Vrindavan was established to fulfill Srila Prabhupada's

desire for an educational institute in Vrindavan. The VIHE in the holy

dhama provides an ideal facility and atmosphere for an enriched

spiritual experience where you can improve your sadhana, develop your

devotional qualities, engage in serious study, associate with senior

devotees, receive spiritual training and live and take shelter of Sri

Vrindavan dhama.

The VIHE also aims to preserve and disseminate standards Srila

Prabhupada set for acting in Krishna consciousness and to deepen

devotees' understanding, realization and appreciation of Srila

Prabhupada's teachings and movement. Thus, the Krishna conscious culture

and values that Srila Prabhupada gave us can be passed on to successive

generations.
