Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

 

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. There

is a new edition of Prathana, songs of Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura recently

published from here in Vrindavana.

 

Prarthana is perhaps the most prominent work of Narottama Dasa Thakura,

capturing Narottama's innermost pure devotional outpourings. Singing these

songs, rich blends of sweet music and profound poetry, causes the mind to

reflect the mood of pure devotion and the heart to taste the ecstacy and

intensity of separation from Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Sri Sri Radha

Krsna. The bhajanas in Prarthana are full of humility, eagerness and anxiety

for devotional perfection. With it's transliterated Bengali and accurate

translations, this present English edition of Prarthana is a most pleasing

edition to the ever-expanding ocean of nectar now available to sincere souls

seeking the essence of life.
