Guest guest
Dear Srila Acaryapada, Please accept my most respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. In the Bhagavad gita 14.9 krishna says ,"the mode of goodness conditions one to happiness, passion conditions one to fruitive activities" etc.., and Srila Prabhupada comments in the purport that ,"A person in the mode of goodness is satisfied by his work or intellectual pursuit , just as a philosopher, scientist or educator may be engaged in a particular field of knowledge and may be satisfied in that way." and in 14.22 Krishna gives the symptoms of one who has transcended the modes as "he who does not hate illumination , attachment and delusion when they are present or long for them when they disappear..." My question is: a/ How does this relate to the instruction that the devotee should try to situate himself in the mode of goodness b/ how should a devotee guard against being conditioned by material goodness your fallen servant, Deva Gaura Hari Das
