In Iskcon temples Krishna is not > worshipped alone and that is what Iskcon devotees also say . However, > in South Indian temples like Guruvayoor, Udipi, Tirupathi etc . Krishna is > worshipped alone. Tirupati Balaji has Laksmi forms on His divine Chest as do many other Deities in South India. Some have Laksmi in a separate temple aside from the main Visnu Temple. This is because they are worshipping in the mood of Laksmi Narayana. Lord Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu taught that approaching Lord Sri Krishna through His energy is the most effective means since the energy is mercy personified. Also since the Lord and His energy are really inseperable. If Sri RAdha gives Her blessings then Lord Sri Krishna will give His. She is most merciful so it is easier to get Her blessings. Srila Prabhupada also taught that sometimes worshipping Lord Sri Krishna alone gives a kind of impersonal feeling to the worship and Lord Sri Krishna should always be worshipped with His devotees.
