I don't have any specific sastra on it, but that was the standard that Srila Prabhupada recommended. Sometimes in spite of this injunction someone marries a wife who is older, but that is not the standard. Initially it isn't a problem, but sometimes when the couple gets older it is a potential problem. I hope this finds you blissful and healthy in Krishna consciousness.
