You could consider that although this time you didn't deserve it you probably deserved it for something you did some other time that you didn't get chastised for. Some times it is also a test to see how you maintain yourself firmly at the lotus feet of guru & Krishna in spite of this difficulty. Simply remember Lord Sri Krishna and the spiritual master when this happens and beg them for tolerance and patience and ability to do the needful. If you really feel it is excessive you could ask whether the degree of chastisement you are getting is appropriate for your error. You might consider the person, situation and circumstances before deciding to do that. I hope that this finds you in good health.
