Srila Prabhupada advised we thoroughly study his books prior to going to other literatures. If someone is not well grounded in Krishna consciousness then he could get confused while reading other literatures even though they are bonafide. So one should carefully study Srila Prabhupada's books prior to going into other sastras. I hope that this finds you in good health.
