Guest guest
My Dear Spiritual Daughter Vijaya Radha dd, Please accept my blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Thankyou for your letter cited below with my comments. I have noted the contents carefully. > My dearmost Guru Maharaja, > > Please accept my respectful obeisances at Your lotus feet. All glories to > Your Divine Grace! All glories to Srila Prabhupada! > > Sometimes I heard You saying that one should be hungry for getting the > mercy of Guru and Krishna. So my question is how to manage this in order > to let others to get the mercy too? For example only one person can dress > Radharani on a particular day, so I want to do it, and somehow they invite > me to do it etc. and so I'm happy, but I also think, may be I should > renounce and let that other devotee do it, even though she didn't ask for > it, for sure it will enthuse her in her spiritual life. But if you > consider yourself the most fallen and in more need of mercy, why would you > do it? if you think no one is in more need than you? If a devotee is enthusiastic for rendering devotional service that is very auspicious. One should be enthusiastic to do devotional service. The desire to serve the Deities can attract Lord Sri Krishna and give him pleasure. So there are two different things being discussed in your question. ONE: to be enthusiastic to render devotional service. TWO: to engage others in devotional service as a devotional service. This leads us to the second part of your question: > Sometimes it's hard to renounce to specific services that one considers > like special mercies. Or sometimes one my choose to do some specific > services in secret so others don't get the idea and let you without that > particular service because two persons are too much for an small service > for example. It is also nice to be attached to serving the Lord in a particular way, but if you feel someone else is eager to do that and you want to help that person also then some devotional service could be offered to that devotee as well. Either the same or another devotional service. If you are depending on doing that devotional service for your Krishna conscious survival then you can continue to do so unless some equal or better alternative comes up or if someone asks you to share the service---then you can consider. > I'm sorry if this is a foolish question. But it's a doubt I have. Thank > You for Your time and patience. > > Your insignificant servant, > Vijaya Radha devi dasi Each devotee in the spiritual world has particular devotional services. They also engage others to help them. having a particular devotional service is quite natural. I hope that this finds you in good health.
