The Bhagavat Gita Purports quote Upanisads which describe the individual

soul as "chit kanaa" or spiritual spark. For understanding how much area in

the body the soul is taking in conditioned life the measurement is given as

taking the tip of a hair and dividing that 100 times and then taking that

100th part and again dividing it 100 times. Like this the soul is so

infinitesimal, yet so powerful. What is important to understand is that in

spite of being so small by material calculations, the soul is so powerful

that it can empower even the large body of an Elephant and the intelligence

of some great human thinkers or Devas.

Actually you are correct we cannot measure the soul by any material means,

but if Lord Sri Krishna through His scriptures tells us the size then we can

accept that as authoritative since the sastra is the SCIENCE OF THE SOUL and

SCIENCE OF THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

Yours in service,

Jayapataka Swami
