Guest guest
Dear Jayapataka Maharaja, please accept my humble obeisances. Jaya Srila Prabhupada! Why did Rupa and Sanatana Gosvamis in CC (Madhya, 1.223-224) say to Caitanya Mahaprabhu that He shouldn't go to Vrindavan accompanied with many people? >From SP's purport I could understand that it refers to taking many people to pilgrimage for making business out of it, but isn't it logical that Caitanya Mahaprabhu is not doing it for business? And in verse 225 it is said that He set an example how to act and took only one servant with Him (verse 230). And that such visit to Vrindavana would be very pleasing. But how can we than understand Navadvipa mandala parikrama? Every year, more and more devotees are being invited and encouraged to join it. And it is very pleasing. It seems contradictory to the statements in CC. (Similarly, also Vrindavana parikrama after Gaura purnima festival.) Please dispell my confusion. Thank you, your servant and spiritual niece Gauri
