Dear Jayapataka Maharajah

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

I received a letter from an old friend, extract below, and would be gratfeul

if you could explain how and why these incidents happen. Are they just the

healers using their "God given" ability to harness the material energy, or is

it direct intervention by Lord Krsna? and why do these incidents happen quite

frequently in the Christian tradition, but not in other relegious traditions,

including our own?

"Our Church is on fire for God at the moment. We have seen a wonderful

outpouring of the power of God. A fortnight ago last Friday most of the

Church were unable to stand as the power descended. One lady was

dramatically healed from a back condition - she was lying on a bed when

the preacher prayed with her for healing - five minutes later she was

telling us how great God is (after she had finished dancing).

Last Sunday in the park we joined another Church in worshiping outside.

I stood next to a lady in a wheelchair who was able to walk after

prayer. Our young people are talking about God's power and love all the

time - two young girls have come to faith in the last fortnight, and two

ladies in their 20's too - as well as a man in his 60's.

 

God dust has miraculously appeared on hands and feet as we worship, and

some people have had teeth fillings turned to gold.

 

I'm not sure what is going on - but God is changing lives - and it is so

exciting to watch and pray as it happens around us"
