Or does He just pretend these things because of His > perfect knowledge of what's really happening? > > Your spiritual son, > Fernando Dias Lord Sri Krishna allows Himself the opulence of getting totally ecstatic in His pastimes. In Brihat Bhagavatamamrta this is demonstrated when Lord Sri Krishna goes unconscious in ecstacy when Srimati Radharani goes unconscious. When Lord Sri Krishna is unconscious the whole existence stops and is in suspended animation since Lord Sri Krishna is the original consciousness. Only Lord Sri Krishna has delegated the chit sakti power to Lord Balaram who is the only person not unconscious. His duty is to wake Lord Sri Krishna up and then again everything starts to move. How these things happen is totally beyond our ability to understand. Just that they happen reveals something about the mystery of Lord Sri Krishna and Lord Balaram. So to some extent during Their pastimes the Lord can get involved within them like Lord Sri Krishna feeling concerned for a moment how to deliver His cowherd friends when they entered into the mouth of Aghasura. These are mystic opulenses of the Lord. Yet immediately when the Lord wants to know more it appears that He has full access to His unlimited potencies. I hope that this finds you in good health.
