Lust into love?

This is a major question. I would like to post it and the reply to Q&A

conference (without mentioning your name).

 

Srila Prabhupada advised that instead of thinking when we see the oposite

sex how that person would be nice for sense gratification we should think

how they would be nice to become devotees of Lord Sri Krishna. Then how we

can help them to become better devotees is a good thought if they are new

people. If they are advanced then how to learn from their good qualities or

in some cases to help them in devotional service. We only need to be

attractive to the person we want to marry and a serious devotee won't be

attracted to someone who is flirting around, isn't it. So it doesn't make

sense to be a flirt or waste energy in trying to attract the oposite sex.

 

Even if we dress nicely for preaching that is to be presentable so that

people will be attracted to listen to our message of Lord Sri Krishna. That

is a devotional service then and not an act of lust. In this way, everything

we do should be for pleasure of Guru & Lord Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu!

When someone is going to get married or is married then one can concentrate

on attracting and keeping ones mate's mind focused so that they find it

easier to be chaste and loyal in the marriage bond. That is part of our

asram duties being offered for the pleasure of Lord Sri Krishna.
