Thankyou for your question cited below with my answer. > Hare Krsna! Please accept my humble obeisances. It has been a long time > since I corresponded with you. Does Vaishnavism > sanction that? Hoping for your blessings and guidance > Hare Krsna. > Yours humbly, > Mahua Mukherjee > Calcutta. I haven't heard anything specific about this, but in the 4th canto SB Dadici Muni donated his body to the Demigods who used the bones in a sacrifice. So there is a precedence, but it was for a noble purpose. The problem is that using the body for Research may be for some sinful kind of research on better women's cosmetics or such things so one should be sure what it could be used for. There may be some implication of Karma since donated organs could cause some karmic debt if not done for the pleasure of Lord Sri Krishna. I wouldn't hesitate in donating an organ or blood for some devotee as service to a devotee is pleasing to Lord Sri Krishna. Vaisnavism is based on doing things for the service and pleasure of Lord Sri Krishna. I hope that this finds you in good health. Your ever well wisher, Jayapataka Swami
