The very relevant point raised here by Svarupa Prabhu is the essential cause

of most of our problems over the last two decades. The GBC restructure

proposal is being offered in a mood of sincere service, respecting all the

current GBCs as great souls who are trying to clean up a massive mess that

for the most part was not created by them. The past trend has been that the

GBC get so much involved in their near impossible dual services that they

don't have sufficient time to stop and reflect upon such things as the

overall GBC structure.

 

Srila Prabhupada said that fifty per cent of his mission was to establish

varnasrama throughout the world, beginning with his ISKCON. And in a

varnasrama society the brahminical and administrative duties were never done

by the same person, except in an emergency. In our ISKCON, do we really have

a perpetuated emergency? No.

 

Therefore, now is the time for varnasrama to be implemented in ISKCON, and

the two most prominent benefits will be that disciples of gurus will not get

neglected because their guru is too busy managing, and managers will be many

times more effective in solving management problems because they won't be

too busy trying to look after hundreds of disciples.

 

Not applying these two points alone over the last two decades has severely

hampered ISKCON's growth. But if we implement a varnasrama GBC structure now

ISKCON will definitely change for the better: Tens of thousands of disciples

worldwide will get significantly more spiritual help from their spiritual

masters and the constant flow of management problems will get dealt with

swiftly and much more effectively.

 

With such a simple varnasrama structure Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON will

flourish worldwide and seriously begin to turn this Kali yuga into a Satya

yuga, just as Srila Pravbhupada and the sastras have predicted.
