Guest guest
I have been following the various proposals and comments GBC Restructure conference and have also noticed that there is very, very little activity on COM in some important conferences like varnasrama development and the cow protection conference. While there has been some intelligent commentaries I was wondering why anyone thinks anything will change as the result of such an endeavor. I am not trying to be negative. I am mostly a very optimistic person in my own life, but of course, ISKCON is not a very big part of that life either. I simply find it curious that that this new round of attempts to change ISKCON "leadership" or non-leadership follows the same methods as previously unsuccessful attempts and after some time the comments slow and then die out altogether. If the GBC and other so-called leaders of ISKCON knew, read and listened to the pure devotee's proposal to change the movement over 26 years ago when he ordered varnasrama colleges in EVERY center of HIS movement but NEVER did anything about it, what makes anyone think that we will have any effect on their resolve? They obviously never agreed with Prabhupada's proposal for varnasrama and continue to ignore it. They obviously think his ideas were wrong and now are outdated? These conferences are trying to come up with new proposals without referencing directly the precise orders and directions Prabhupada gave us in his morning walk conversations in Vrindavana in 1974. WHY? Do the participants of these conferences agree with Prabhupada's various directions in those walk conversations? If every devotee in ISKCON knew that Prabhupada gave the order to start varnasrama colleges in EVERY center of the movement, why couldn't they simply demand that the GBC follow this order or be fired for insubordination to the pure devotee?
