You had a problem with what I wrote about authoritarianism regarding Narottam's posting. You asked for a definition and I gave you Prabhupada's instruction. What do you think? Apart from the dictionnary, do you think that kings, gurus and the vaisnava tradition were not authoritarian? Was Prabhupada authoritarian? Is authoritarianism always bad? Etc. I had some questions about what you wrote and some suggestions about the directions a discussion of authoritarianism might take. You seem to have a problem with anyone not unequivocally assenting to your insights. I hope my posts didn't seem contentious; they weren't meant to be. >You asked for a definition and I gave you Prabhupada's instruction. I looked through the emails, and I couldn't find such a sequence. I suggested we begin a discussion of this term (and I think I suggested we may include totalitarianism) with definitions, and you asked what I meant by "we"--twice--and whether I wanted to lead a discussion. I think this may be an interesting topic to discuss; however, I don't see anyone else juming in. I'm not interested in contention for its own sake, so if you want someone to bicker with, you'll have to find someone else. I have a job and plenty of service. Yours in service, Babhru das
