But through your sarcasm you have been attempting to disempower the makers of the statements and thus win the argument without dealing directly with the matter at hand -- this is the logical fallacy called "grandstanding". Sarcasm can be healthy under some circumstances, especially when it can help the object of the ridicule to understand an obvious error, but in these recent texts, in my humble opinion, it has been quite inappropriate, as it is designed to only be appreciated by those who agree with you.
