Raghu, your efforts and service are truly commendable. In the most absolute

sense. I've already told you what I think of the reunion efforts and the

resulting effects of those reunions. With the utmost sincerity, I would do

anything to assist you in those efforts.

Why? Because it's something that's close to my heart. I believe very

strongly in the future generations of ISKCON. Very strongly. I have my own

personal reasons and experiences for being interested in the second

generation of this movement. And it is because it is something that is dear

to my heart that it would inspire me to act. I have wanted for many years to

establish apprenticeships and training and post-gurukula education and

employment for gurukulis, and it is still something in my mind to do. I

haven't done so yet because I know I haven't been financially or physically

or geographically or perhaps even spiritually able to do so. - amongst other

reasons. That's not an excuse, it's simply a fact. But it doesn't stop me

from planning it - it's something I want to achieve in this lifetime, and I

mean to do so.

What I'm trying to say is, we are all driven by different things. If someone

finds the saving of an orphanage full of children in India something that is

not specifically in their 'area of concern' as you call it, then those

people should not be derided for that choice, nor for speaking out and

saying that it is mundane welfare work.
