I would hold out judgement until I knew the whole conversation, and respectfully, I absolutely disagree with him on this one limited sentence. It is a rather dangerous thing to quote selectively, and I'm not speaking specifically of your good self, but recently a quote was posted on another site in reference to something TKG said. He did say it, and that's not an issue, but out of context and without understanding, these things can become very dangerous, especially in the hands of those who are exteme fault finders of ISKCON, you know? It seems to feed the machine of those too ready to damn ISKCON for its efforts to date. > For sure there is some, but our society is still dominated by seniors who > are more interested in power than in our devotees' well being. I think personally that those people exist, but I'm not convinced any more that they "dominate" the society. I think it was Dhyanakund (I'm sure she wouldn't mind me quoting her who said she has a 'fantasy' where everyone in ISKCON ignored those people, and they finally went away I thought that was a rather appropriate day-dream, to be truthful, and actually [in my opinion] I believe they are going away. A Prabhupada disciple (also in very good standing) once said to me "Just hold your breath until they all go back to Godhead, then you can have ISKCON the way you want it." It was said in humour, but with a grain of truth. And in fact it's something a lot of second and third generation devotees have said to me as well - there's no getting rid of some people, we just have to pray to out-live them! > Ys Braja Sevaki dd > Y.s.
