Hariballbha, I'd love > to hear more about exactly how that works in Berlin. > Madhu It is inspiring to hear. And it's not an impossibility. There are a few examples of it around. The devotional environment Jahnu and I are moving into in San Rafael (that's in Marin County near San Francisco) is a similar thing, and from what I've heard from my spiritual master and other devotees is that it works - simply because the devotees respect each other as devotees. They are a group of people made up of ISKCON devotees - both past and present - and BP Puri Maharaj devotees. They work together and support each other spiritually, and I believe it's the only program like it in the surrounding area, so the devotees who live and work there are very supportive of each other. Comparing an ideological argument to a 'turf battle' shows ignorance of spiritual principles, and is rather insulting to Srila Prabhupada and the movement he created for spreading Krishna consciousness - which incidentally is the foundation of 99% of all these other groups, be they inspirational or offensive. The fact is that all we've seen from such 'splinter' groups is that to justify themselves they first have to attack ISKCON. It's a little incredible how quickly that seems to be forgotten, and the 'new kid on the block' is the hot ticket in town.
